The BBB door
Of all the free doors above the counter, the BBB file has the most useful property: companies answer it in writing, from corporate. Advance's record in the complaint corpus is formal corporate responses to warranty disputes. A BBB complaint is not a lawsuit and compels nothing — what it does is move your claim from a clerk's memory to a corporate case file with your name on it.
The chain's corporate office typically responds inside the BBB process with its position — sometimes a reversal, sometimes a defended denial with the reasoning finally written down. Both outcomes are progress: a reversal ends it; a written corporate position is the exhibit for the attorney-general complaint and, if it comes to it, small claims. The BBB itself doesn't rule — it hosts the record. Set expectations accordingly: weeks, not days.
File against the chain's corporate entity (the BBB site routes by company name), attach documents rather than pasting walls of text, and keep your own copies of everything — the file you built for the counter is 90% of the file the BBB needs.
Not sure which wall you hit? The free checker sorts it in a few picks — chain, part, purchase date, your proof, and the store's own words — and gives you where you stand under the written policy, the proration math where it applies, the exact next counter move, and the ladder above the store. The pages above are the map. The kit is the paperwork: the word-for-word counter scripts, the per-chain playbooks, the worksheets, and the complaint templates.
One payment, yours to keep. You do every step yourself — at the store, on the phone, in writing; we never call a store for you. See everything inside the kit →
